Sunshine Blogger Award

🌻🌻 Sunshine Blogger Award 🌻🌻

Firstly I would like to express a huge thankyou to Lou Does Travel for nominating me and my blog Girl About Europe 🌻

Being fairly new to the world of blogging and shy when introducing myself to the community I was delighted to find that I’d been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award.

What is Sunshine Blogger Award?

By bloggers for bloggers.

Sunshine Blogger Award is an award which recognises and celebrates the work of writers and bloggers.

Highlighting their commitment and creativity within the community.

Spreading the word of encouragement, positivity and inspiration to new and seasoned bloggers alike.

It is an amazing opportunity to meet and get to know other bloggers and take part by answering hand picked question submitted by your nominator.

I love what the Sunshine Blogger Award stands for and that it is a supportive network of people who share a passion for creativity, inspiration and individuality.

We’re all just ttrying to make the world a little bit more of a positive place.

🌻 So here are the 11 questions presented to me 🌻

1. Are you an introvert or extrovert?

For me this really depends on the social situation, when surrounded by a large crowd I find myself often shadowed by bolder personalities, I am the quiet listener but by no means antisocial. In a smaller group I tend to open up and pitch in more but without being dominating. I feel as though I lean more towards being an introvert, sometimes an ambivert.

2. Where would you like to travel to next? Is it for work or pleasure?

Definitely for pleasure. After recently reviewing my test results, I learned that a large part of my DNA background resided in Denmark. Since then I have been fascinated to learn more and have planned a trip to visit Copenhagen in search of Hyggeligt, culture and what makes Denmark one of the happiest countries on earth.

3. What is your favourite post you have written?

I found this one a little tricky to answer at first as I’m quite sceptic of my own work, sometimes I don’t feel that my writing is quite up to par yet and that I’m still trying to find my own style.

I did however really enjoy including a topic on my website titled ‘Real Talk’ where i talk about Break ups, backpacks and beginning again rediscovering your identity after a breakup, why you should never feel selfish and that travel is a healthy way to heal.

4. Who is your favourite blogger? Link in post!

This was such a hard one to choose! Just like travel and visiting new a new country, each place offers something unique and special, as with each blogger, they’re all a favourite to me in each of their own way through stories, topic matter and creativity.

If I have to really choose I would pick Imjustagirl_16 as I have really enjoyed her positive outlook on life and how to make the most of a bad situation. (Sorry you missed your flight btw girl)

Plus she is a Yorkshire girl and highlights the beauty of our home city York. Which Is by far so underrated compared to London and Edinburgh.

5. If you could meet anybody in the world who would it be and why?

My favourite artist who is sadly no longer with us, Peter Steele – The frontman and bass player of Type O Negative.

A rare talent and an amazing voice, I would just listen to anything he had to say in terms of his life philosophy and lyrical inspiration. RIP.

6. What is your favourite thing about blogging?

My favourite thing about blogging is that it gives me a voice, that I can just let myself go and write as I wish. The ability and freedom to choose my own topics and talk about matters which really resonate with myself and others.

I’ve always wanted to blog and I’m proud of myself for finally plucking up the courage to share my content with the world.

7. What is your least favourite thing about blogging?

Sometimes I’m too hard on myself if I don’t get enough content out, however over time I’ve learned that quality over quantity is what matters.

As previously mentioned I’m still on the hunt for my own personal style and niche.

It feels like a job but in a good way.

8. What is your favourite season?

Definitely fall, I love to witness the changing of the seasons and the vibrancy of the scenery which surrounds me.

I love being able to pull out my warmer closer clothes and wrap up and enjoy the festivities of the annual German markets which take place and attend bonfire nights with friends and family.

It’s a little bit like Christmas but without the stress and obligations of having to consume, consume, consume with buying presents.

Just friends, family, food and togetherness.

9. Coffee or tea?

A decaf soy mocha is my go to all year round, in summer I’ll opt for the iced version.

10. What is your ideal way to spend the weekend?

I love to wander around the city with my camera, sitting in a bookshop with a coffee and just people watch for hours.

Or sometimes I’ll go for a quiet picnic and take my sketch pad.

Simple things.

11. What inspires you?

My location, wherever I am, who I’m with. I’m inspired by the places I visit and the people I meet.

I’m minimalist by nature and love to watch the world go by.

Thankyou for these questions! I really enjoyed answering them.
